Cookie Monster

This sweet mare has been to hell and back, yet she still chooses to love her humans and fellow four legged friends! You may be asking yourself why is Cookie a sanctuary horse if she's so sweet?

Cookie arrived severely underweight, barely able to stand from the worst hoof accesses we've seen and had started to give up from years of neglect and pain. Shortly after arriving  it was discovered she was suffering from untreated Cushing diseases and will require life long medication.

Cookie requires daily medication special feed, hay and monthly farrier care.

Would you consider being her sponsor?

Our sanctuary animals need your support, will you consider sponsoring one of them?

Why sponsor a animal?  Each of our sanctuary animals require special diets, hay, daily medication, farrier work and frequent veterinary care. Monthly cost per animal varies from a few dollars, to several thousand dollars and without monthly donors  we would be unable to support the individual needs of each animal in our care, nor be able to help other neglected and forgotten souls.

~ Below you will find information on each of our sanctuary animals needing a sponsor ~

All sponsors receive monthly updates and are encouraged to come visit their sponsored friend.

Jezabel of the south
~Jazzy~
Jaz, Jazzy, Granny are all names you'll hear around the barn for this sweet old lady. Jazzy came into rescue after being confiscated, severely underweight and seen as nothing more then a money maker! Most if not all of Jazzy`s life was spent as a brood-mare having baby after baby and when she could no longer produce healthy babies they threw her out to pasture with zero care or feed.
Jazzy being somewhere around 30 years old and partially blind will live out her retirement loved and cherished!

Biscuit

&

Glady`s

Biscuit came to us after being bought as a easter gift and then dumped like garbage! Sadly Biscuit is very human imprinted  so he has zero survival skills and sadly doesn't fit in with a normal flock, he'd rather follow his humans around and sleep in the house with the dogs.

Gladys was found on highway 37 after being hit by a car, she suffered minor head trauma which has healed and has a funny sounding quack that we adore! sadly she doesn't fit in with a normal flock so we introduced her to Biscuit an they became BFF`s

Our 2 odd ducks  can be found wondering around the ranch asking for hugs and extra snacks!

Theodore Sun Rising

"Teddy"

Oh Teddy, where to start with this handsome lug! Teddy lived in hell for the first 8 years of his life never knowing a loving hand, proper hoof work or even basic medical needs being met. His owner believed the "land" would fulfil his nutritional needs, which we all know is not the case!

When Teddy came into rescue he was extremally underweight, horrible teeth and  horrible ulcers. After months of care and hospitalization our vets decided Teddy was home at the ranch!

Thackery Binxs

~ Zack~

We are still learning about Zack, but what we do know so far is he's a old soul with deep scares. Poor Zack is has only known physical pain and starvation for the firsts 8 years of life, he came to us from a huge confiscation case and was untouchable for the first 6 months in care, he still struggles with trust issues but has come to LOVE our barn crew  and made it very clear he's home!
